Tank sensors reading empty - ‘22 Europa 31SS

I found an old thread on this issue but since it was over 340 days old the forum won’t let me reply to it.

I don’t recall seeing a fix to the tanks sensors reading empty issue (I did search) beyond replacing the sensors like MIA did. None of our sensors are reading correctly.

Our black and gray tank levels read empty, regardless of levels in the tanks. This issue started about a month ago. I was thinking of turning all power off and resetting the Firefly system (if I can remember how). Then bringing everything back on line.

Before I do this I wanted to check to see what others have done to get them working again.

As I was writing the post above my wonderful wife found a troubleshooting guide online. We’ll give this a try and report back. That said, if someone did something different to resolve the issue, please let us know.

I had been seeing more instances of inconsistent tank readings, and had just written it off as, “they all do that.” However, I have seen more posts by both owners and Dynamax reps about the possibility of loose connections at the G12, maybe related to equipment utilized by the harness vendor during quality control checks. I have not had a chance to test that hypothesis, but you may want to check the connections.

So I had a similar issue, we found that the sensors were not properly leveled with respect to the tank, I suspect the coach wasn't level when they were put in place, or they were leveled out of the rig, and then installed and not releveled, we leveled the black and grey and they seem better.

I haven't leveled the fresh sensor yet and it seems to read sporadically. Since I can see the fresh tank under the bed in a 31ss I got a $25 fill meter from Amazon and emptied the tank then marked on the side of it with a sharpie as I filled it at every 10 gallons, on the side, so this weekend when the fresh sensor wasn't reading anything I just lifted the bed and looked at the size, since I had only used 15 gallon of fresh I knew the grey didn't have more than 15 in it. Unfortunately when I emptied the fresh to do the marked fill I forgot to level the damn sensor

It seems strange though that it just started doing this after 2 1/2 years of working fine. Scratching my head on this one.
