Troubleshooting Isata 3 Series PD Converter

Had a call this morning...I'm not sure Bill's screen name, but batteries were overheating and appeared to be overcharging. (off gaming, smell of sulphur).

Anyway, unplugged and everything seemed ok. (2) things it would normally be. 1. bad cell in a battery (which he tested and said it tested OK)
2. bad converter. Attached is the troubleshooting guide for the PD4045...what is in your Isata 3 is the PD4060 BUT I was told they are basically the same.

WE DID however find they are not exactly the same. The PD4045 has (2) reverse battery fuses mounted horizontally. The PD4060 actually has (3) reverse battery fuses mounted vertically. You pull all (3) to do the testing.
