Truma water heater - HELP!!! - ‘17 Isata 3
Out on our first trip with our recently purchased 24FW, and the hot water heater doesn’t want to turn on. It worked fine when I was testing everything out at home. I don’t have the rotary dial on our model.
I turned the Truma WH switch on outside in the down position which I believe is the comfort mode. The gas is turned on and the power switch is turned on but when I turn the faucet to get hot water there is none. I don’t believe anything else needs to be on.
Any ideas???
Thanks

Ps: any idea where the fuse might be for the water heater? I checked in the fuse panel by the door right when you enter and also in the panel under the stove and I didn’t see any mention of the truma water heater in all of the fuses and circuit breakers.

Problem solved. The red switch inside the door was not fully engaged. Thanks

Still curious. Does anyone know where the fuse or circuit breaker is for the Truma water heater is for future reference. Assuming there must be one.
Thanks.

I have a 2017 Isata 3RW and have the same Truma setup as you do. The manual says there is a fuse on the control unit, which I assume is where the switch is outside where you set the mode, ECO or Comfort, to protect against a short circuit. I searched for it but couldn't find it. Further back in the manual it says there is a 5 or 10 amp fuse in the positive line near the battery's positive terminal. I haven't had time to check that out yet, but I'll wager that's where you will find it.

I don't 100% recall on the 2017. Today it is multiplex...back then, I seem to think it was on the same fuse as the control panel.
So if you look at the fuse panel...should be a 10amp or 5amp fuse that says control panel?

Hi Brian,
Not sure if you are referring to the fuse panel just inside the door or the one under the stove. I have attached pics of both. Don’t see “Control Panel” listed on either panel.
Is it #5 (Monitor Panel) on the panel under the stove?
Any further?
Thanks

OK...so its monitor panel, not control panel. That is the one I think the water heater is on.

Thanks Brian.
Took me a day to test it out. Pulled the #5 15A fuse (Monitor panel) and it shuts off the water pump, so I couldn't run water to test whether or not the water heater was turned off as well, however the light in the red Water Heater switch inside the door turned off as well, so I am assuming the same fuse turns off the water heater and water pump. Sound about right?
Going to add a sticker in the inside of the fuse panel door so I remember a year from now...or tomorrow.
Thanks again...

Not sure, but it would be beneficial if marked accordingly from the factory on the inside of the fuse panel door with what it controlled.

Well, it does control the monitor panel
I think I have posted a fuse layout on that one...I'll have to go back and look.

That sure is good to know...
Thanks Brian. A fuse layout would be very beneficial if you can locate one.

My schematic reads just like your panel...with the difference being it reads "MONITOR PNLS / WTR HTR
That is a printed sheet...so likely that text is just too long to print.
