Using slides when not fully extended

There are times when i cannot fully extended the slides on my XL .... is there any issues using them when they are not fully extended? Thanks

The only real problem with only having your slides part way extended is the that you loose the seal against the wall and the slide box which can allow weather or bugs to enter

Other than not being sealed as all ready discussed the only other problem that I can see is with large (heavy) type slides. If you read the instructions for most slides it will say that the RV should be level and preferably with the jacks down before slide operation.
I see no problem with operating a small slide to gain access to the bathroom or such, but I would not recommend operating a large heavy slide while on the road unless you are assured that you are level.
