water pump switch in bathroom

It would be nice to have a water pump switch in the bathroom like the one in the outside wet bay. Has anyone ever figured out how to add one? Brian it might be a nice feature for future models.

I think the bathroom mounted water pump switch should be standard. My 1995 Fleetwood had it, but not my 2020 Forest River.

You can move any switch, they are wireless. You can also find it on the smart phone app.

This is an Isata 3 2022 RW. So I could take the switch out of the wet bay hook it up to 12 volt anywhere in the rv and it would operate the pump?

No need to hook it to 12V, its a wireless switch.

Sorry, I'm probably not being very clear. It's a actual switch, not a touchpad, next to the outside shower valves. Also the two touchpads do not have a water pump on off switch. See page 28.

Ah, yes, then no way to add. You would have to use the smart phone app.

Brian,

Does that apply to our DX3’s also?

I’d like to move the location but didn’t want to unplug wires, etc.

Thanks,

Mark

I've been moving my switch panels around. Instead of the screws, I've been attaching them with Hook and Loop (Velcro). No screw holes to fill. Plus if you decide that your original mounting place wasn't as good as you'd like it, you can always move it. I've been using this Hook and Loop product : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The adhesive stick very well but if you want to pull it off the wall, the adhesive doesn't cause any damage. In my experience.

OHHHHH, the entire switch panel is movable. I thought he meant the individual switches. (which I would suspect they are interchangeable)

Thanks,

Mark

Yes, assuming you have the Firefly systems that have been in use for the past few years. As Mark noted, they are wireless, except for the hard wired panel at the entry door/steps.

I moved this one from the wall between the Dinette and Recliner Sofa to the overhead cabinet. You can actually use it there, instead of kneeling on either the dinette cushion or on the sofa.

I also moved the bedroom panel from the wall between the vanity/bedroom (on bedroom wall by closet) to the hallway between the vanity and the bathroom. That puts it on the left of the door to the bedroom. It's more functional, IMO. Not only for not having to enter the bedroom, to turn the lights on, but also for Extending or Retracting the slide, if you are so inclined. Although I usually use the Android App for the leveling and slide purposes.

But, as Mark mentioned this is really individual preference. All these individual preference items might be better off being mounted with something that doesn't leave holes in the walls. That's why I used the Velcro.

Unfortunately, this switch panel came with the upper right corner laminated plastic, delaminated.

Well, there is a way….but would require a bit of wiring knowledge. Wire it up like a 3 way home light switch.
