Winegard Rayzar Automatic
My old 5th wheel had a Winegard Batwing style antenna and I loved it. I added the wall plate that let me home in on particular channels. Current king jack antenna has not performed well. I took the head of the jack and found that at one time it was rotated past 360 degrees and broke the plastic flange. In addition the small cable was severed. So I decided to make a change.
Just installed the above mentioned automatic antenna. It was pricey but I like it. For now left the Jack in place. Snipped the coax right at the dicor sealant. Installed a new F connector and the new wall plate. I did some testing before I put the screws in the roof.
I fired the unit up and it does an automatic search for OTA signals. According to Antennaweb.org I was approximately 33 miles from the antenna field in southeast Houston.
It takes about 2 minutes to complete its analyzation of the OTA signals. Also my coach was in my storage lot which is covered but not enclosed.
After it completed its thing I did a scan on the TV and found 122 channels. I am quite impressed. Obviously I need to do some camping but so far so good.
