XITE Radio Locking Up
Just a heads up. During my test this past weekend I had the XITE radio lock up within 10 minutes on the drive home. I rebooted,reset and it worked for a bit. On the drive back it locked up again.
Basically the volume knob stopped functioning along with the left side hard buttons (Navi, Home, CAM). I could turn and turn volume knob and it did nothing. Hard buttons would beep, but nothing would happen.
After some investigation, I guess there was a bad batch of Rand McNally nav cards...corrupt data, which is causing issues. The easy way to test, is take the nav card out. Radio seems to work continuously then.
So...if you experience this issue. You can call the River Park tech support and they will send out a replacement nav card. 800-442-7717. You'll need a VIN and radio serial number most likely.
