XM Sirius Antenna Wire

I currently have an XM Sirius Onyx receiver in my truck. So I bought another docking station and added this to my Force. I bought a second XM Sirius antenna and after trying numerous locations settled on the outside hood area.

Well I was on the roof the other day and noticed the factory XM Sirius antenna, now wait a minute where does that go. So since I will not be paying for a subscription using the Sony in dash that means the roof antenna is up for grabs.

Now if I could only find it. I have taken apart most of the front end of this coach. So documenting this is good for me too, cuz I'll forget.

Anyway behind the passenger side dash is the XM Sirius module that connects to the in dash Sony. This is also where the antenna wire from the roof terminates. I know the wire must be longer but I ran out of time and energy. I order an antenna extension cable.

Unplug the antenna from the module, plug in my new extension and run the other end into my console. Now no dropped signals. Using the antenna on the roof is the best options.

You can see the unplugged wire hanging down.

thanks for the info. I just got a 2018 DX3 37TS and I also have the xm onyx receiver from my previous "camp" rig. Now I know where to start to connect to the roof antenna.

Thanks,

Ken
