36QBOK Batteries

I am going to tackle an electrical makeover on my Sabre 36QBOK this weekend. Got a list below and if anyone has suggestions or ideas please let me know!

1. Change out the 1-12V battery to 4-6V batteries (Anyone have a good idea on how to position them/ battery box setup in the basement?) Using Interstate GC2 - 232 ah batteries. Will give be 464ah system.

2. Install Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Surge protector.

3. Install a Renogy 200W solar panel kit

4. Install a 1000W pure sine wave inverter. Motormaster (Canadian Tire Brand)

Going to be busy, see what I can get done. I'll try and take a bunch of pictures and post on here when I'm done. All the parts are ready to roll, just gotta pick up the batteries.

There are matching battery areas on either side of the basement, but the rearward spaces (with precut area for a second battery box) will be an absolute nightmare getting a heavy battery into- there's just no access.

I think Kenny was kicking around ideas for how to cut the basement floor.

I have a pair of huge Trojan J185 to go in. As soon as I get it back from the dealer.

I'll be making a battery tray to go where the stock battery is. It will hang a bit lower than the stock.

The same tray could be put on the other side as well.

Another option would be to relocate the spare to the rear rack, and use that space.
