Don't buy that bumper to bumper insurance

On RV warranties....If you buy, buy the one that lists what is NOT covered. The cheaper warranties list what IS covered and you will find that many things are not listed, therefore not covered. As an example, the most common problem with RVs tend to be slides and jacks. They are usually not covered on the cheaper warranty.

We purchased an EW after being assured by the finance mgr that this would cover the whole trailer using the phrase bumper to bumper. While out west this past April, a section of our siding came off our 2015 Salem 27 ft trailer. When we returned from our trip, we went to our Forest River dealer for repair only to be told that the damage was not covered by the EW. The dealer determined it was a structural defect but still was not covered. So much for bumper to bumper. If we knew about the two year bumper to bumper coverage from Forest River for $150, we would have been covered but this coverage was not offered when we purchased our Salem. We are getting it repaired through our insurance company and they will go back to Forest River.
