Illuminated light switches
This is my first post so go easy. My family is new to the large fifth wheel world. We just bought a 2021 Sabre 38DBQ. One of my biggest complaints is the illuminated light switches in the bed rooms. Looks like a runway in the bedroom when I’m trying to sleep. Can someone give me some guidance on where to find a non-illuminated replacement for these? Looking for switches that are similar size which is the narrower approximately 1/2” or less wide switch. Hopefully I can find something that is a relatively simple pop out pop in replacement. Thanks I’m advance.

If you could hold a ruler next to one of the switches and take a photo and post it that would help.
I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions.
FWIW, you can get just about any switch you need on Ebay for cheap and pretty fast.
Switches in my 5 year old rig are rocker switches. Ebay has lots to choose from.
Good Luck!

Typically a ground wire will be connected to one of the studs on the back of the switch that is needed for the light to illuminate. Disconnect that wire. The switch will still function normally.

Will this cause any electrical issues or create any possible hazards?

No. Just be sure to insulate and wires exposed by doing so.
If you do this, consider that the next owner may consider it a defect. Be sure to cut/remove the wires in a way that can be easily reversed.

Thank you. Illuminated switch is off and runway is shutting down. Now to deal with these USB ports.

Your wire probably has something like this terminal on it. It's already insulated and there is no voltage on the wire; it is a ground wire. It's not necessary but just tie back if so inclined.

Black electrical tape so you don’t lose them entirely.

If you're "dealing with" USB ports because of lights, replace the fixture with a 12V accessory port(s). Plug USB chargers into those. Take them out when you don't need them.
That eliminates lights and, if boondocking, reduces parasite current draw. It also makes upgrade much easier as USB technology changes. It will. You can also use the 12V accessory ports for other 12V devices.
