lippert bedroom slide motor

We have a 2015 sabre 321rsks. The bedroom slide is ceased in the retracted position. When pushing the in/out wall switch we only get a loud clicking noise from the motor. Have removed the plywood , inspected the gear packs and they are both in the proper positions on the rails. Drive shafts on both sides of the motor are snug and straight. No obstructions in the rails, rubber seals on the walls are perfect. Anybody experienced this issue and have ideas on the solution. Worst case we will need a new motor, but like to explore all option before that happens. thanks Larry

Have you checked to ensure your batteries are at 100% (fully charged) that may be the problem. Let the forum know what you find and correct.

bedroom slide motor

If you are getting a loud clicking sound the motors are working .It sounds like the slide has traveled in too far . Try backing it out a little with the manual hand crank. Then try it with the power switch. I just recently had the same problem with mine, turned out that the slide stop can had come loose and allowed the room to travel in too far. you can download the manual from Lipperts website on how to make adjustments

thanks guys. It was way to hot to mess with the slide so I grabbed a beer (s) and thought about the issue. Had called Lippert and they agreed my motor was the problem and they gave me a part no. and will probably get a replacement piece.
HOWEVER, the old mechanic fix came to mind. I took a small hammer and gave the motor and gear mechanism a whack. Voila slide went out and in. Could be a dead spot in the electrical contacts or debris. For now I will put things back and clean up the rig.

Happy: I tried to put a ratchet & socket on the manual crank and could not get any movement. Guess there is a lock or brake somewhere that I cant see. Have to get the Lippert manual download. thanks
