Winterize question

Newly purchased 2022 Sabre 38DBQ.
Our campground will be disconnecting power before I can winterize. I know my battery (with juice pack) will provide enough power to close the slides. Will my residential refrigerator drain my battery when the 120v is disconnected?

Yes if it runs through an inverter! Unless you empty the fridge & turn it off first. Turn the fridge breaker off also because even the circuit boards in the fridge will draw some minimal power.

Thanks! Now I just need to find the correct breaker-not labeled the best.

If it has an inverter and the fridge is the only thing on it, it may be labeled "ref" or "refer". Or you could locate the inverter & turn it OFF.

2 years ago my batteries were removed and shore power wasn't available. I used jumper cables from the truck to the battery leads in the camper to provide power to the pump. 30 minutes later the job was complete.

I have a 36bhq so ours may be similar. I have a an inverter that only powers the fridge. The easiest way for me to turn off the fridge while on shore power is to unplug the inverter, which stops it from passing through shore power.

Hope that helps.

FYI if you need 12v power to operate the slides or other items in the RV, connect your tow vehicle to the trailer while leaving the engine running via the 7 pin connector and all the 12v items in the trailer will operate. A 12v refer might not be a good idea to operate in this scenario.

In my 37FLL, the solar panel will keep the refrigerator running for a couple of days if it is sunny. After that, the voltage will get low enough to damage the batteries.
