2016 MBS 2400W Battery Replacement

Looking for recommendation for replacing my factory house batteries which are weak after 3 years. Have read the threads about specific gravity measurements, voltage measurements, and all the details. Just need a deep cycle AGM battery size and brand that fits the physical location for a decent price. Not much boon docking the last 3 years. Thanks...

Sams club Duracell group 31 marine/rv Agm will fit. Mine are holding up well at 3 years and no checking fluids or spills

why would you pay the inflated price for AGMs when you admit you don't 'boondock' much? FLA flooded lead acid batteries are the best value for the buck... Why do you think yours are 'weak'?

Because the AGM's are basically maintenance free, you can leave the coach plugged in all the time in storage and the Group 31 batteries are higher capacity than the 27's installed by the factory.

And the AGM's were not that much more than flooded batteries. I don't need to worry about cooking the flooded batteries, having them off-gas and set off the explosive gas alarm.

Also, after five years the battery bay still looks brand new.

AGM with a true Deep Cycle construction will be best.

The main reason (although AGM have many virtues) is you stock alternator is HUGE.

Your alt. can pump out about 200A+ which is far more of a charge that a discharged pair of Lead Acid (LA) battery should be exposed to.

The AGM ability to absorb heavy charging is a great virtue .

Worth the extra money!

AGM need to be monitored for longest life (like every type battery) , so you might wish to install a SOC (State Of Charge) meter.

Here is an example of a SOC,,voltage monitoring does not work.
