Hello Located in the fuse box under or below the stove. 15 amps fuse last one below.
I have the same problem and pulled the fuse out. It was causing my batteries to come low. Theirs a short some where on the step wires and have not found it yet. But since I pulled the fuse out my batteries are staying charge a lot longer! When you pull the fuse out your radio and dvd player will also be out of power closed.

Fritiz,
I replaced the motor in the step. I figured out that the shaft in the motor was the real problem. The shaft and a serious wear spot on it and it was binding up and would get stuck. Then it would blow the fuse. Easy fix if you can get the trouble shooting correct. It took no time replacing the motor, 3-4 bolts. Good luck with your repairs. Guys on this forum are great with sharing advice and experience. I have save a ton of money using this Forum. Thanks to all.

Step fuse location.

Step fuse is in the fuse and breaker box just below the stove.
It's the last 15 amp fuse the very last below.

Electric Step

The fuse that would blow in my 2401R was in the Control panel to the left in the entry way, with the 2 screws in it. My step has worked perfectly every since I replaced the motor. Step lights up and open and closes on cue. I had no issues with my batteries.
