Factory Pioneer backup Cameras

We have only had our new FR SunSeeker 2400WS for three months, I don’t know if our cameras are working right or if what ours does is standard. If we put the blinker on to change lanes, it immediately shows that view but when we go to change back into the right lane with the blinker on, we have to turn before our camera comes on. It has a very long pause, is this the way yours works? If this is the norm, we will after the factory warranty is up buy a better one. Really find the camera to be very bad compared to my car and our other RV we had.

The delay is normal as the camera multiplexer (which as the cameras are is made by Rear View Safety) handles the switching between the three cameras. The Pioneer head unit only has 1 camera input. They both have their own idiosyncrasies which cause the delay. Replacing the head unit will not solve the issue unless it has 3 camera inputs. If you have the head unit set to continuously display the camera the delay is about 8 seconds.

My solution was to install a separate monitor for the rear camera and have the side cameras only display on the head units screen.

Just curious. Are all the cameras wireless now?
