Forester MBS mattress in two wedges

Hello,

I had a 2015 Forester MBS class C motorhome with a full side slide (The Bobmobile). It came with the RV short queen mattress (60 x 75) cut into two halves with a wedge shape on the ends. When the slide was out, you placed the two halves down and the wedges overlapped to form a standard rectangle like any other mattress. I just bought a nearly identical unit from another brand and the one piece mattress folds at the 1/3rd point. We hate that and prefer the wedges. Anyone know where I can get them? It's the weekend so I have not checked with FR nor their dealers yet.

Bob

Wedge matress halves

And if anyone can send a picture of that mattress, or the wedge dimensions, I'm trying to remember exactly how it worked as I may have one made locally.

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section to the Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Forester MBZ chassis motorhome.

I have the exact mattress setup you’re talking about in our 2018 Sunseeker 2430S on the Ford E450 chassis. This mattress concept and design is from Forest River across a number of their Class C units, not just their Mercedes units. In fact, I believe you’ll find FR still uses this same mattress design in their Sunseeker 2440/Forester 2441 models. It was also in the short lived 2420/2421 models too.

The mattress measures 60” x 74” give or take an inch if it matters?
The diagonal slash in the mattress located itself below your butt, so you do not feel the sections of some other styles of mattresses.

Here’s a photo of ours with the fitted sheet pulled back to show you the slash design. The top section rides on top of the bottom when the slide comes in, and you just push the top section back towards the head of the bed when the slide goes out. We find the mattress to be very comfortable even after all these years.

Hope this helps.
