Forester sewer hose storage

I’m trying to mod the hose storage on my Sprinter chassis. The storage door is only 4 inches and the sewer hoses are 4 1/4 inches. Anyone found a way around this without taking the hose ends off each time ? I don’t really want to attach a 6 inch pvc under the motor home.

I have to turn the sewer hose fitting so the pointy bits of the fitting are inline with the corners of the square tube ... then it fits!

I have two but most often only need one for dumping
the second one is stored in the OTHER end of the square tube and not connected to the first one
Only take out the one I need...

I have to do this - rotate the hose fittings just right - AND I had to file a bit off the pointy bits of my hose fittings to get it to fit.

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Motorhome section's Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to a Sprinter motorhome

Do you have the Forester model ? My square door is not a problem but the round tube inside isn’t close to fitting. I don’t see anyway it would fit no matter how much I filed off. The hose without any fittings at all is just barely fitting

No, I have an r-pod with a square hollow bumper that doubles as hose storage. A hose barely fits in there. You have to rotate the fittings so that the protrusions align with the diagonal corners of the square, and even then I had to file some of the protrusions to make it fit.
