MB Sprinter Simulator

Ok, it finally happened to us. Lost the RR simulator on our recent trip. Not sure if I'm going to keep the current set, but until I decide, does anyone have an extra factory rear simulator you are willing to part with. It's a 2017 MB Sunseeker.

I have an entire set of simulators that I would be willing to sell. Sorry, I don't want to break up the set.

Also have seven steel wheels.

PM me if you are interested. I'm in the Atlanta area.

I picked up a rear wheel simulator on ebay for $89. It fit perfectly, and has a better attachment ring of plastic that is much more rigid than the previous iteration

I am going to replace all four wheel simulators in the near future. This is what I am going with.
2012 - 2018 Sprinter 3500 Stainless Wheel Simulators for 16 inch Wheels

Maybe not from this source, but these bolt on simulators.

I’ve been looking at those stainless replacements as well. One of my rear caps literally fell off as I pulled up to the ranger booth at a State park after driving 160 miles at 70 mph. The funny thing is it fell off at 3 mph and I heard it roll along the ground , not on the highway . I did have 2 plastic zip ties on it that broke. On inspection the metal retaining spring broke from metal fatigue. I suspect all are ready to also fail. It’s either replace with cheaper ones or paint the rims and get cheap caps for the hubs. The Alcoa rims are nice but too pricey for me. The metal zip ties would probably hold it with the broken retainer but I don’t want to fight with getting them off for a flat.

Thanks Rich. I think I have found a set of originals near me that I plan to get. I hope the stainless ties will keep them on. A pair of snips will make short work of a flat.

So are you folks zip-tying both front and rear simulator sets? I have only been doing the front.

It was a rear that I lost, so I will zip tie all in the future.

Mike, How fo you like these Sprinter Simulator’s? These seem to make sense I just want to check with you how many miles you have on them and do you like them. Appreciate any feedback.
