Mbs diesel problem

I have a small wrench with a 1d coming on every 10 minutes or so. I'm in the RV part now, but I am not sure what to do about. There's a vague reference in the Manual about, but nothing specific.

That appears to be a service due date reminder. The single wrench indicates that it's a "Service A" and the "1d" indicates that it's due in one day. Service A is an oil change, with several "check this" and "tighten that"s thrown in.

It is brand new. Only 2500 miles.

Could it be a computer error with only 2500 miles?

I believe it counts days as well as miles.

There is a simple procedure for resetting in the owners manual under oil change reset.

What year is the chassis?

Also, if it's really "brand new" I wonder if there's something the dealer was supposed to do which included resetting the service reminder...

Oil change due at 2 years from the day the cab was built despite the low milage. You are 1 day overdue. Tomorrow it will say "2D".

At one point I went on to a Mercedes web site which provided a raft of detailed information about my chassis based on the chassis VIN. One of the data items was the date the chassis was delivered from MB, presumably to Forest River. For my 2015 Solera, on a 2014 chassis, the delivery date was April 28, 2014.

I got my info from the MB EPC web site:
https://epc.startekinfo.com
but that involves a non-trivial fee (I think it's $75/year).

Other than that, the MB dealers have access to the same data and the cheapest approach might be to ask a dealer to look it up for you. Another possibility would be to call the MB Sprinter owner support line (I think it's listed in the manual) and ask them. Given the OP's surprise at having a service reminder pop up, the support line folks might be more than happy to help out.

Mbs diesel problem

It starts a month ahead and will show 2D then 1D before due date, then not sure what on the due date, then -1D then -2D when overdue, and it flashes on startup when overdue. See attached pages.
