MBS Driveline Vibration

I’ve been experiencing a driveline vibration at 75mph. I don’t drive at this speed but when overtaking etc i will hit 75.

At 75 I get what I think is a driveline vibration. Vibration goes away when I let off the gas and coast at 75. No vibration at 73.

First trip to dealer they ignored it. Second trip to dealer and they claimed out of balance tires. They balanced tires and vibration is still there. Third trip to dealer I get the attached service advice from Mercedes.

Has anyone else experienced this vibration and what did you do ? Not sure how frustrated with the dealer I should be. Is the service letter from Mercedes legit?

We have a 2019 2401w. Bought new and have put on 10,000 miles.

Not sure how severe your vibration is. I had a problem at about 95K miles. Felt like I was driving over a pavement “rumble strip”. Stopped when I left off the accelerator, much like you describe.
In my case, the torque converter lock up was “chattering” between locking up and not locking. Sprinter forum calls it “rumble strip noise”. Dealer replaced transmission and torque converter.

Transmission Fail

If what JLeising describes is your problem I strongly suggest an inspection of your transmission as soon as possible.

I didn't note the rumble strip noise on my 2016 MBS on a trip thru Canada last year - all two-lane so little opportunity to overtake - but on day 3 we suffered a catastrophic transmission failure. The repairing (replacing) dealer said torque converter failed and the transmission basically ate itself.

That was at odometer mile 11.4k.
