I see the 5w30 does NOT meet the 229.52 spec but the 0W30 does.

NAPA does have it on sale now for $5.99/qt - a savings of about ~$55 on 14 qts.

My OM642 Mercedes 3.0L uses Shell Rotella 5w40. I switched when Mobil 1 quit producing ESP in the 5w40 weight. I've been doing this for about 64,000 miles and my DPF and remaining emission system components are holding up fine. Not sure if it is the Rotella or the fact that my DPF is hanging on the wall in my garage that is responsible for its longevity.

LOL I use Rotella in my F350 and with 190k miles, it's going strong.
