New owner MBS 2400W generator ?

Hi we just got back from our 1st trip and no major problems although our generator runs fine it just doesn't power the house I'm I doing somethwrong? is there a switch or button I need to turn on or off ? any help

Ok.....I’m going to assume it’s an Onan/Cummins generator. It’s important to provide details, like make and model on the actual component rather than what RV you have, because they change suppliers regularly.

Look along the side where the starter switch is.......it’s not RIGHT OUT FRONT but you should see a small switch along the side. For whatever reason it’s probably in the OFF position to send generator power to your RV.

Edit - I stand corrected.....the term in should have been breaker, not switch.

Most common issue causing this symptom is the breaker on the generator. Open the generator outside compartment door and search the generator baseplate for a breaker. Switch it completely off, then firmly on.
May be some other cause, but this is frequently the issue.

Edit - just saw kenandterry’s reply. The breaker I describe is, I believe, the “switch” in that reply.

On my MBS Prism, I have to plug the electrical cord into the 30A outlet where the power cord is stored.
