Newbie to FR2401b

I’m strongly considering a new FR 2401b. I’m coming from a 29’ Thor class A gasser. I believe it’s roomy enough for 1 or 2, plus the dog. Am I getting myself into anything I should avoid? I do most maintenance myself currently. My thoughts generally are that I don’t need the larger RV, mileage better but maintenance more expensive. Nicer to drive for sure. My toad is about 3,000lbs (Chevy Tracker.) Any big red flags? I owned a diesel Touareg for many years. Thx all for the help.

Forest River is the corporate name, not the Motorhome's brand name. Is it a Forester MBS model?

Yes, I realize that. I should have said Forest River Forester 2401b. That said, are there opinions about the product I obviously was asking about, or just corrections?

Yes, the MBS Model. I don’t think there are any other 2401b’s. Thx.

No red flags

We’ve got a 2021 2401B and all of your points are correct. Rides nice, gets better fuel mileage (but cost of diesel probably makes it a wash), tows our Jeep Wrangler with no problem, etc. We’ve had very few problems and our dealer took care of those we had without any issues. And I take care of everything else.

It’s usually 2 of us plus 3 dogs (total 120 lbs.). The one downside of the MBS is the CCC. We are always right at max weight and have to pack accordingly.

We did 11,000 miles and about 50 nights in year 1 and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Looking forward to 70-80 nights this year.
