Rear light controller

Have seen this before but don’t know the cure. Rear stop lights stay on. Rear directionals do not work. Located the controller. Unplugged a plug that turned off the stop lights. Cure??

There is a federal recall on some Forest River/Dynamax MBS motorhomes equipped with Curt taillight controller.

There are many posts in this and also some in the Sunseeker and Solera sub forums.

Even some folks who had the recall performed and the Curt controller replaced with the Hopkins have had failures.

I have always thought that the failure was water/moisture related, but the FR folks that post here sometimes say it isn't. I have a detailed post here where I enclosed the controller in a water tight PVC box. No failures in three years, so far.

Thanks KP. My controller is mounted in a dry location however we are in Missouri currently. Very high humidity. We have not received a recall. Have email into Coachman for assistance. That may take awhile 🧐 Meanwhile no rear lights. Not good. G

Check the inside of the trailer connection harness and clean out any corrosion.

Just replaced my controller for the third time. Same issue. Thankfully FR covered the cost of the unit and I installed.
