RecPro 67" recliner sofa install
Replaced jackknife sofa with Recpro 67" recliner sofa over weekend. Huge improvement. J-K was similar to park bench, while recliners are similar to home comfort. The recliner width required adding a custom 4x4 post to end of slide platform to accommodate front lower frame work of recliners and securing frame to platform. After installation we noticed our feet didn't touch ground due to added height from slide platform. So I made a couple of foot stools from 2x4's. See pics. Anxious to use in very near future!

For those that have made the furniture switch, have you considered the weight difference between jack knife and new recliners? Seems like it would be adding additional weight to one side of the camper.

Good job!
I'm as impressed by the foot stools as anything. They look great!

Model
2017 Forester 2401R is the model. As far as weight this model offered as an option dual recliners but they are rare. I’ll weigh jackknife and report back. BYW jackknife is available for sale at a very comfortable price

I did the love seat exchange from our original crummy bed/sofa a long time ago. That OEM furniture wasn’t light either.
Comparison weight wasn’t my biggest concern versus comfort.

I replaced the uncomfortable jackknife sofa with recliners in my Dynamax series 4, and am betting that the jackknife weighed considerably more than the recliners.

How deep is the slide on your MH? I'd like to do this on my TT but not sure if the depth is enough for the recliners.

Congratulations! We installed the RecPro Electric Theater Seats several months ago in our FR3. I agree, they are fabulous. After a long day of driving it makes for instant relaxation. Safe traveling!!!!!!!

Read on the recpro site. Each product will answer those questions. I had to extend to my slide 3 to 4".

I had several inches to spare. The depth of the jackknife sofa bed was greater than required by the recliners!

Weight differences
I did the same thing on my Coachmen Concord 300TS. See: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post2209833
My slide wasn't as wide as yours but I was concerned with the difference in weight so this is what I figured out. I weighed every piece of the jackknife sofa/couch that came out. It was ~125 pounds. The loveseat recliners that went in were ~168 pounds. However, we stored a LOT of items under that sofa/couch that were NOT put back on the slide so I figure the difference was either even or lighter with the love seat. Will be spring before we get to test them out but the test of taking the slide in and out a few times worked perfectly.

Does anyone know the original manufacturer of the jacknife sofa. Our seating cover split and is like to replace it.

Where exactly was the stapled label? I've looked under the sofa and the arm rests and can't find anything that looks like a label...
I did contact Williamsburg and their parts lady said she'd be happy to help me once they got back from the shutdown!
Thanks.
