Mercedes fuel gauge problems

I have a 2018 merecedes sunseeker. The fuel gauge has started to not register the proper level of fuel. I fill it up and it registered 3/4 full, anyone have similar problems ,if so how did you remedy it?

First and foremost, your MBS should be under warranty or close enough that there is a likelihood of a goodwill repair.

Next is that your post might get better feedback in the Sprinter section as your issue is specific to that chassis.

FWIW, over the years (decades) it has been my experience that sending units and or grounding issues are the causal factor for bad readings. But it could be the gauge as well. YMMV

Happy gremlin chasing.

Also, are you sure that tank fills completely? I think Sprinters sometimes get some sort of air lock that makes the pump shut off early. Maybe.

I’ve owned lots of vehicles in my 70 yrs. and have never had this happen. I’m sure it was full and on level ground.

Which gauge do you have? The electronic bar graph or the dial? I always look in the fill tube and let the bubbles subside then SLOWLY fill until I see the fuel cone up to the top. I'vefound the dial gauge seems to be more accurate than the bar graph. I've had both.
