That is where mine is. There is an access panel behind the sliding bedroom door. I have a 2250LE. But you can not remove it from there you will have to remove the entire shower surround and pan to get to it in order to replace it. I'm looking at putting in a bigger pump and thinking about coming in from the bottom by dropping the Black tank.
Did you know that the Gray water tank is only 4 inches thick and 6 feet long.....Found out while putting heaters on the tanks.
If anyone out there has replaced their water pump I'd love to know what model you used as a replacement. The stock pump is SO LOUD that I'd consider changing it out if the price was right. Thanks!
Don't be so quick to blame the water pump, the Pex lines can Really make a Drumming/Thumping noise! Adding a Accumulator can improve a RV water system as well! Youroo!!
I agree it is very loud I have thought of mounting mine on a rubber mat as currently it is screwed to the floor. I think the floor amplifies the sound.
In the 2401R it's in the outside driver's side compartment where the winterize switch is, inside an inner compartment door. Very accessible to any baby monkey.

The water pump on a Forest River Forester 2401w is inside under the shower through an access panel. Four screws hold it in place. I believe me handle next to the access panel is a shut off valve that shuts off the water from the fresh water tank and then allows you to use the loose hose to siphon the rv antifreeze for winterization.
