Generator start switch

We just purchased a 2013 Cherokee Forest River Vengeance 37 ft toy hauler. It has a generator but we can’t find an start switch inside the trailer. Does anyone know where it should be located? It is not on the control panel or near the battery switch. Is it possible there is not start switch inside the trailer and we would need to install one?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. If the unit didn't come stock from the factory with a generator (generator was added later) you won't find an inside start switch in most cases. Do you need to install one? for me no however if you want the convenience of inside start yes you will have to wire one in.

Thanks so much for the information! You’re probably right that it was added later. We can probably get by without the inside start. We’re not camping in extreme weather so it should be fine. Not sure how big of a project it is to add the inside start switch.
