Question about air on 2017 25th toyhauler

We had the toyhauler out on our first trip (finally) and we were at a bike Rally where we were in a 30 amp site. Place was packed and lots of extension cords people were using. My air when set at 68 degrees would suddenly go off for a second, make a weird hum then kick back on. I felt like when the compressor would kick in to the lower setting it might have been getting low voltage in at the campground. If I ran it at 75 it wouldn't kick off suddenly like that.

I saw another Vengeance owner and he said his AC had been doing the same thing while at the rally.

Today when most people had left I kicked it down to 68 and it never kicked off and on like when the place was packed. I talked to others and they never had problems with their SC during the Rally. Any ideas?

Mine has been doing that since day one, even when hooked up to the 20/30/50 pedestal at home. That supply never shows less than 118 volts available. Have never been able to get an explanation of why but the system keeps the camper cool even in 90+ days.

So is it when you kick the air down to around 68 it will do it? Maybe it wasn't low voltage but something all vengeance toy haulers do? I keep thinking something is wrong with the AC. I never had a rv air unit do this.

Definitely does it at lower temp settings but only if air runs for more than an hour or so. Sounds like the fan shuts off but compressor continues. In less than ten seconds the fan comes back on in a low setting for about a minute, then normal ops. It does this three or four times over a 30 minute period then runs normal for a few hours. Never really timed it.

One AC guy I talked to said it had to do with defrosting some part up there. Probably not related but he said be sure all filters were clean, including removing the top shroud every 4-6 weeks to verify no dirt, blockage, etc.

Dometic AC isssues

Curious if having the queen size bed that is up against the ceiling blocking two of the outlets for the ac vents has anything to do with the short cycling of the Dometic AC unit?

Went camping this last weekend in Arkansas. Kicked the air with the main vent open at she ran fine at 68 degrees. As soon as I closed the main vent so the cold air would come out the vents throughout the toy hauler it began to short cycle off and on. I lowered the queen bed from the ceiling which was blocking the closest vent to the main air unit and it stopped short cycling and ran great the rest of the trip. Think I solved the issue.
