Great new! Just ordered four Maxxis M8008 for my TH to replace my four year old Westlakes. Ordered one day and at the front door the next day with free shipping. (BTW ordered from Real Deal Tires) Happy RVing!

We suffered a blowout his weekend on our trip to Davis Mountains. Middle axle still had the original tires on them, it blew out at 55mph. A bit of damage to the side of the trailer and replaced it and the counterpart on the otherside of the center axle with Maxxis. I was really wanting to get some Michelin tires but the local tire shop didn't have any. It took about 20 minutes from the time I pulled up for them to swap the spare back out, put on two brand new Maxxis, balance them, and install them back on the trailer.

I reported about this same thing last year. We had both rear tires on our 2015 39R12 bubble and go bald with less than 5,000 miles. I checked at the beginning of the trip and they looked fine.
1000 miles in, we noticed it at a rest stop. Spent the whole day getting new tires at Les Schwab. Hubby got commercial trailer tires to the tune of $1200.

Those China bombs are total junk! We had the trailer for more than a year, so now the tires are in the backyard. Maybe I'll make a potato planter out of them.

Tire Replacement

Nokian now has Light Truck tires in 15" & 16" sizes, the Rotiiva LT. This is a company in Finland that specializes in heavy duty tires. Check them out for your RV next time, don't replace an ST with another ST, it is a racket that we don't have to fall for anymore. ST tires have fewer guidelines for construction, meaning cheaper made, and passenger car tires "P" & "LT" must be built to higher standards. Currently, you can get a $100 rebate on a set of Nokian tires at Discount Tire.
