Electric bills on seasonal sites
Does anyone happen to know what they pay per kwh for electric on their seasonal site? Our bills this year are showing 18 cents/kwh. Last year it was 15.
I'm not sure if the increase is coming from the electric company or the CG itself. Or if it's even legal for the CG to charge more.
Anyone know of a way I could find out how much the CG is getting charged?

If the campground bills you who knows. If the power company bills you direct then its all power company. You need to find another person from your area of your state to check on rates.
The rates are different in every state and even within the state. When I moved from Chicago area to Virginia my rate was about 1/2 what I paid Com Ed.

The campground is not allowed, by law, nationwide, to charge you more for electricity than what they pay. I looked into this a few years ago and that is what I found out.
If you want to know what you should be paying per KWh, just go to the website for the company supplying power to your campground. You will find the rates there.
I pay 7.28 cents per KWh at my seasonal site.

In our case here in Alabama we are charged the same thing as the power company charges the CG. I do know that the CG is on a commercial rate which is higher than what we pay at our stick and brick home. I am sure there are varied cases.

Thanks Bruce, good to know, as I knew Virginia was like that, and any rate change has to be approved by the state, but did not know about other states.
I found long ago Virginia rates were much lower than many other areas,

Just checked my bill I received for July for our seasonal site here in NC. We paid $.103 per kilo watt hour. That’s a far cry from $.18 pkw hour??

Yeah, wow. I pay 4.3 cents per KWH in NE Ohio through AEP.
When you add in all of their other fees, it comes to 12.7 cents total, though.

Call the power company that supplies the campground and just ask them what the charge is per kilowatt hour. Easy to calculate cost one you have that rate.

Yup same with us but when we pay $375 per month....not to bad

Thats what I thought. I just thought it was odd that it went up 3 cents between last year and this year.
We also get charged a $6 "maintenance fee" every month.

I'm in a resort / campground that has different tiers for electricity. If you stay by the week it is included. Up to three months stay our resort bills you pay are preset kilowatt amount that that the park collects. Seasonal sites are billed directly to the power company. The kilowatt is one amount, but we have a half of a page of extra fees that seems to double / triple the the kilowatt cost. It come out about the same.

Country Club Park CG in Jasper, TX....
We spent a week there this past October and liked it so well we are moving into it tomorrow for our 4 month winter stay.... (4 months = $1,500.00)
Relatively new - currently had about 50 sites with another 30+ under construction... Hope to grow it much larger...
Young couple purchased the old Jasper country club and is turning it into a RV park by placing RV sites on the old fairways.... Nice and quiet....
Lakes to fish.... Hiking trail is the old golf cart trail.... Plus a driving range for all you golfers....
Only 3.4 miles from downtown Jasper and 5 miles from Super Walmart....
