This is more of a 4-Seasonal spot. Cabin on 52 acres.

I am sometime away, but it’s fun to look.

When we were looking for a seasonal site, we thought about a two hour travel window. That works for us. Our site is within this window, even on heavy traffic days. Some people at our Campground think nothing of a four hour drive while others think 45 minutes is enough. One of our neighbors lives 20 minutes away. You have to know the size of your travel window.

We started at a CG that was about 30 minutes away. Then we moved to another one just down the road from the first one, so about 35 minutes away.

Then we moved again and now we are about 50 minutes away. Although it's a lot of back roads and gravel roads. There are a couple of towns nearby for food, gas and supplies.

We had looked at one that was an hour and 20 minutes away but that was mostly highway driving to get there. We decided that was out of our range.

I like your comment. Shows how everyone has a different range. How much time do you want to be on the road prior to enjoying your camping spot and a cold one.

When we were seasonal there was a couple that lived in town and had a seasonal site, 4 minute drive.

We know a couple that has 3 campgrounds literally 5-10 minutes from their house. Instead they drive an hour to a different one. They also spend half as much in seasonal fees compared to the ones near their house.

Good friends of the wife and myself (been friends since high school) Their "Seasonal" spot is in Colorado. 9.5 hr drive....One way. They are starting to grow tired of the distance and trying to spend "A weekend" at their spot.

Mid-September, starting to count down the weekends until closing. Looking for a sale on RV antifreeze. Local paper this morning notes we are a few weeks from our first freeze. I'm the only idiot in our park that self winterizes.

We are fortunate at our place and can visit and stay 365. Our trips in November are fun but we bring water along. In our 7 seasons at our Seasonal site, January is the only month we have not stayed overnight yet.

Before we moved we were doing 100 miles, mostly all PA turnpike. Close enough to go anytime, far enough you don't run home for something.
We owned the land so yearly fees were good.
