tongue jack

Just curious... When setting up for a permanent site, what is the benefit to a cinder block under the tongue jack as apposed to just running the jack to the ground on a piece of treated lumber?

If there’s any movement (due to wind primarily), you’re not putting stress on the jack. You also have a broader base on which to distribute the weight.
