What's your perfect seasonal site campground?

I have been a seasonal at 3 separate campgrounds (4 if I include the one my parents were at when I was a kid) over the years and have stayed a numerous others for a night or two before we went permanent.

I researched a number of different CGs near me when making the decision to move both times and have seen quite a few differences in the layout and amenities of each place.

I've found that there is no one perfect place but each CG seems to have at least one or 2 things about it that I really like. I'm curious what others think would be a "perfect" CG to be a seasonal camper in.

For me my list would be something like:

full hookup site (50A with sewer)
large site with some shade
allows golf carts
paved roads
swimming pool

weekend activities/live music every weekend

playground for kids
volleyball courts
basketball courts

large building/lodge/pavilion for campers to gather
on-site bar/grill
A small camp store for little things you may have forgotten.

A large lake for swimming/boating.

I actually know of one CG that hits pretty much all of these, but I just can't afford the price which last time I checked was somewhere north of $4000/year.

Very affordable ($1500 per season),large site, very clean and very well maintained, park is spotless.. We have all of that in our seasonal cg.

Good Kayaking with bonus Eagles nest just up the river. Totally awesome and yes we have that too! Priceless.

Any park that Zeman Homes owns is a deal breaker.

Do miss the golf-cart.

My seasonal campground has all of these things except, only some of the roads are paved and the “lake” isn’t large enough for boating — they have one lake for swimming and another for fishing.

One campground that I know of that would fit your bill, except for all (but many are) paved roads is Otter Lake in East Stroudsburg, PA. This is a really nice campground.

How about hosting?
Free campsite w/ hookups.
Golf cart supplied.
Easy work schedule ie. 3 on 3 off.
And as a bonus you get to meet lots of new folks!
