We just completed an 11 night vacation through the Great Smokey Mountains, looped up into West Virginia and back to Missouri. We used the OC awning tie down kit for 9 of the 11 days/nights and they worked beautifully. We never left our awning out while away from the camper or through the night prior to getting the tie down kit but it stayed out almost this entire trip without incident. Simple to deploy and set up and offers great peace of mind. Thanks again OC!

We're about to take Buffy in for some warranty work, and I want to take our awning poles OFF before that trip.

I'm afraid someone there will think; dude these are AWESOME, I think *I* need these more than they do!

DH thinks I'm paranoid, but HEY, we got two sets of his last batch, or so we thought when we bought 'em.

Has anyone noticed that this gif has OC's awning poles on it?????

Since I'm local, will I be able to get poles also? But it would have to wait a while. I just spent a ton of money on this TT, needed accessory #1, needed accessory #2, nice to have accessory #3, etc, etc, etc. And I'm not retired yet so I'm just living day to day...dollar by dollar... Seriously though if I spend one more cent on this hobby in the next month my wife is gonna kill me. PM me details if you want. (Not of my wife killing me. I can imagine that pretty good on my own.)

Weezer--take the poles off. Easy enough to do and they are now a collectors item!

So when you pick up the pole material, and make the new poles, I assume you will be shipping them FedEx. I have a good shipping rate, so when they are boxed and ready, just let me know.

So, AquaMan, what part of there will be NO shipping of any poles either by FedEx, UPS, USPS, Old Dominion, SALA or any other foreign, domestic or inter-galactic shipping company.

I think you're starting to wear him down Aquaman. It took him over two hours to respond to this inquiry about shipping awning poles. On your previous inquiry, he responded in about 20 minutes. Must mean he's starting to re-think his position

Had to take TOWTA out to a late lunch and just got back. I am not wearing down or re-thinking, anything about shipping poles. To plagiarize and old saying "Hell will freeze over before I ship awning poles again" Capisce, comprendre, entender, zrozumieć, понять?

BOXED? You seriously are suggesting shipping those poles in a BOX?

That had to be at least schedule 40 PVC pipes he shipped ours in, with wooden plugs, cut to fit, and pop riveted in place. Ours came with the wooden plugs loose, one shoved up IN to the tube sideways.

BOXED? You'd be lucky to get one mounting bracket. And that would arrive with the cardboard wadded up around it and taped with gift wrap grade tape.

Shhhh, don't stir the pot Weezer. This is a carefully orchestrated plan we have in place.

You tell 'em OC!

They keep messin with you and I'm gonna sic 'er on 'em!

(of course, I wouldn't, in any way, be tryin' to protect the value of my collector poles!...uh uh....newp, no way)

They shoulda coughed up the money and bought a set while you were still shippin' 'em! I ain't feelin' no pity for 'em. (we need a neener neener neener emoticon)

X2

Sure glad we jumped on the awning pole order when we did. Best mod to our rig so far!

If you keep 'em long enough, you might get $1.75/lb for the alum. So, in your case with 2 sets, about $35.00.

Well OC, when you get the poles done and they are ready to ship, if you use FedEx instead of UPS, they will get there intact. If you make them look indestructible, they will treat them as such. Let me know when you do get those poles in though.
