Kits are ready

We now have kits ready to ship. We have 9 sets of black powder coated brackets now along with "ready to paint" brackets. Will have white powder coated brackets ready sometime next week.

Almost finished bead blasting the last of the brackets. They are going fast, so if you want a kit, PM me. We only have 4 black powder coated kits and 3 white powder coated kits left. Get them while we have a few left.

Just a bump to remind everyone that has an electric awning.

It's amazing to me at the pictures of rigs with no poles.... I'm scared of mine when I have the poles... Can't imagine without.

Christmas from COOT

Get the brackets. They are everything you see in the pictures. Ordering poles now as opposed to buying a drill press. My awning repair for bent rear arms was over a grand caused by a gust of wind I never saw or felt. It doesn't take much.

Thanks OC.

Forgive me for not looking through 208 pages of responses because this question has probably been answered more than once...

I see how the brackets and poles support the awning structure, but what about damage cause by awnings flapping in the wind?

I am sure others can answer better than me, but, I believe you find that when you have the poles down and tension on them with your straps, the material will not flap anymore. At least that is what mine is doing with the temp poles I have made while I wait for Turbs to start making them again. I got Oldcoot's brackets and just used some conduit for poles for now.

OK,Now you need to make and install "Deflapper Poles"! There have been several of us who have made and installed them, they are cheap and easy to make and install! They work as good or better than the "Old Style"awning support rails that were used for the same "Deflappers"! Youroo!! PS in regards to "Flapping" your awning will Flap if the wind blows the right direction! You need "Deflappers Also"!

Not necessarily, there's still pretty good movement to the fabric even with the poles and tie downs used. With the manual awnings you had the crosspiece laying in the same plane as the fabric and the Camco deflappers worked. You have to be a tad more creative now but, this has worked for me quite nicely. Cheap and easy to install.
I'm sure you have/recognize the Camco deflapper. The tarp bungees were 10/pk at Walmart. The Adjustable bungees were 8/ pk at Harbor freight. All were <$10. In the relaxed position , just take the slack out at the adjustable portions

Well, I only used my awning one time after I got the brackets this month, so like I said I am not sure. Thanks for the advice.

LOL, I have a brand new set in an unopened box I ordered in Aug 2016.
Figured 2 50lb dogs tangled up on the poles would do more damage than the wind.
