38MB Almost Ready
Our new 38MB finally got delivered to the dealer Friday. Drove out to Elkhart to take a peek. Dealer needs to add satellite and a few other options before we pick it up next Wednesday. Not a lot of time for shakedown, as we head out to Florida for the season next Sunday. Didn't see any issues on a brief PDI. More thorough inspection before dropping that big check.

Congratulations, beautiful rig. It looks just like our 38FB generator and all. We have now been across country with ours and there are a couple of things I want to pass along that we discovered after the PDI. First, run the living room fireplace in heat for a good bit to make sure it doesn’t trip it’s overload. Ours is not getting enough intake air and I will have to add some intake holes somewhere under it when we get home. Check the led oval light trim on the top of the living area slides. One fell off ours about halfway across the country. Looking at the one that didn’t fall, it looks like it could have been fastened better (not a good fit on the curve). Riverstone is sending parts for repair so all is good. I am happy to say the unit is amazing and is otherwise trouble free. It trails as straight as an arrow down the road even through steady crosswinds in New Mexico. We are pulling with 2018 Ford F-350 dually and everything works out great.
Happy camping, hope to see you on the road!
PS Girard water heater has worked well for us in every campground, with a wide variety of pressures and temps, you just need to learn how to use it. Would never go back to tank type.

Thanks for the tips. I've been following your posts (as well as all the Riverstone's). I'll certainly take your advice. It really is a confidence builder after reading all of the posts in "Riverstone" that there are so few issues being posted, and those that are there, seem to be quickly remedied. We pick up in Elkhart Thursday am. Hoping PDI goes well.

I hope that's not the case. I do have a bit of worry when I first got a look at it the day it was delivered and I asked some questions about the solar. I was told they didn't know the answer but would find out. He said they don't do a lot of volume in the higher end units. Just don't want to pull out and have to do all that research on how to work things, especially since I'm hitting the road for the season in less than a week.

38MB is finally home! Haven't had a chance to play with anything yet or even touch the manuals. Going to do a quick cleaning and load up to head south. PDI took over 8 hours, mainly due to a problem with a bad module relay that was causing the door slide not to consistently work. A few minor issues discovered (bad gas regulator/fixed) cracked cabinet frame, small rip in bottom of recliner (fixed), door latch (fixed) and one or two other minor things I can't think of now. Interior could have been cleaner, but not a big deal. International RV did a great job on the satellite installation, hiding the cable boxes on the televisions, even building a padded mounting box on the outside television. Mike the service tech was very patient and knowledgeable on the unit. I would have confidence in him on any future repairs and would recommend him to anyone needing work. I'm sure my punch list will grow over the next couple of weeks as we "explore and play". I'm not really nit picky on sending things back for warranty work if I can repair them myself. Just hope nothing mission critical develops on our way south.
