65" Samsung TV model in 2020 39RKFB?

Our 65" Samsung TV on the LR wall of our 2020 Riverstone 39RKFB has started doing funky things with the picture. I think it's going fast. I'll call the FR Riverstone Warranty department, but when I searched through all of our manuals in our pouch, I realized that we don't have a manual, or anything that tells what "model" the TV is. Our dealer just told us to call the Warranty department.

Before I have to remove the TV from the wall to find out a model number from the back of the TV, I thought that I'd ask anybody out there with a 2020 RKFB with the 65" Samsung TV on the LR wall, if they know what the model number of this TV is. I'm sure that the warranty department will want to know when I call them.

Secondarily, has anyone had to have a big screen TV replaced under warranty? Does Forest River ship you a replacement TV,.... or,.... do they have you purchase a replacement locally and reimburse you?

Thanks for any help / advice.

You may want to call samsung. They can provide a company to service the Samsung manufacturers warrenty for you. On mine I can go to the menu and request support so it may provide all the information that way but it requires you are connected to the internet.

Go to settings and select customer support then choose request support.

They will usually come out to repair it....to do that you will have to have the model number and serial number though which could mean removing the tv from the wall or sneaking a camera behind it if you dont have the request support menu under settings.

I had one repaired that took a power surge through the HDMI once. At $350 I could have almost bought a new TV at the time.

Good luck, hope that helps!

Was an authorized service center for Samsung for 20 + years .they required tv to have a open service space to work on tv. removed from mounts,I usually would help removing tv from wall.samsung may just arrange for an exchange.

Don't know about your unit, but among my paperwork was a two sheet page that listed the make, model, and serial number of all electronics installed in my unit, from fridge, to inverter, dishwasher, etc.

Good luck with finding a solution. I will be most interested to follow this discussion as I am just about to place my order for the exact same unit (2020 39RKFB) and truck (2020 GMS 3500 Denali) and of course will be most interested to follow your experience/views on this combination of units.

Cheers,

Go to Menu, Support, About This TV and you'll see all the info.

My model is UN65NU6900

I just updated my software from 1271 to 1290. Might want to try that as well.

Thanks for the info. I did find out which model it is: UN65NU6900.

Now the issue is getting someone to answer the voice mail messages I've left for Forest River Riverstone parts & warranty manager, Christy Turner, who I was referred to by the service manager at the dealership we bought the rig from. I'm sure with all the various 'stay-at-home' orders & 'manufacturer closings' due to the Corona Virus situation,..... it understandably may be a while.

Thanks again. Stay Safe! Keep your distance. Wash you hands.

Rod,... I hope you'll be as happy with your 2020 Riverstone 39RKFB and 2020 GMC 3500HD Denali decision as we are. GMC really beefed up the 3500 HD for 2020; frame, differential, 10 spd Allison tranny, bigger radiator, etc. It pulls our 19,000 lb loaded Riverstone up the Rockies without even breathing hard. Around town here in AZ for the winter we get 22-24 mpg. I just got done adding Air Lift 5000 Ultimate Plus air bags to the truck to level it out when pulling the 5ver, since it has a 3100# tongue wait. The truck has plenty of rear suspension to handle it, but the 2" squat when hooked up raises the headlights a little. We don't drive much at night, but I wanted to level the truck with the air bags. Since GMC only puts a 36 gallon fuel tank in the 3500 (with no auxiliary option), I'm looking to add an auxiliary fuel tank in the front of the bed, if anybody has any recommendations.

Greg.. Many thanks for your reply. I am thrilled to hear of your positive experience/views on the 39RKFB/GMC 3500 combination. I haven't received either item yet and expect it will be a while until they work through the delays due to this Virus but being retired I have nothing but time on my hands so waiting a little longer I can do. I like your idea about adding the Air Lift and will follow suit once my units arrive.
Safe travels and all the best.

Rod

I had a 2014 RAM with the same problem. I contacted these guys and they designed a 70 gal tank for my truck. It's worth a call. Chevy-GMC Fuel Tanks - AeroTanks

Talking RDS 36 gallon in bed tank

Back in 2013 before camping world went to hell I had a 36 gallon RDS in bed gravity fed diesel tank installed in the bed of my truck....we then took a 20,000 mile 5 month trip to Alaska and back.....never had to worry about having to search for fuel....

I have a homemade 100 gallon auxiliary fuel with a 12 volt pump. Transferflow fuel tanks makes good fuel tanks. I have thought about replacing the tank I have with the 109 gallon they sell, a little over $1300 bucks. I have a new 2020 Silverado 3500 SRW long crew cab long bed, it’s a big truck. I had a 2012 Silverado 3500. I have a Cedar Creek with a B&W hitch and a TrailAir pin box, my Creek hooked up to the truck is 13ft 71/2in tall

65" Samsung TV model in 2020 39RKFB?

Just this past weekend, I purchased a Riverstone 39RKFB and I too will be following your problem. The concern I have with mine is whether I can put my Wally box vertically behind the TV, as there is no shelf space anywhere for satellite boxes. While looking over the unit throughly, I noticed that the Equipment Data Sheet was not attached inside any cabinet doors. I asked the dealer to insure that I have all that information prior to picking up the unit at the end of the month. I know from past experience that something is going to fail in short order and I want all that info when I start making calls. This unit is only going on one trip up to Nebraska and then staying there forever. I will live in it from May-September, so taking it somewhere to be fixed is not an option. Hope all stay healthy and smart.

Curious as to why you didn't just buy a park model if you weren't going to move it anymore? We have faced a similar question about just buying a park model instead of going to our Az retreat for a few winter months.

For the original OP, I have had a similar TV in the past and ended up replacing the video board twice....seems a weak point. Then I just threw it away after it acted up again. Not worth the trouble.

65" Samsung in a Riverstone 39RKFB

If you mean something like a "tiny house" by park model, they don't have the space desired. If the need does bite me at some point in the future, then I still have the ability to hook up and go.

No, not a tiny house at all. A park model is much like a large RV with extra room. More importantly, usually has a full size bathroom and kitchen with good residential fixtures. Very popular at the 55+ camping spots in Az. At the park we stay, about 175 of the 400 spaces have park models sitting on them. They are delivered much as any RV, but once setup, are designed to remain in place but can be moved.

Most park models are 12 feet wide and thus require special wide load movers to deliver it. You're not going to pull it yourself. If it is not in a park were it can be sold in place it makes it much harder to resell.

Is the shelf behind the glass door under the TV, above fireplace, too small for the wally? I really liked the kitchen in 39fk, but we settled for the 37MRE because of the TV area. I typically have a lot of equipment.

2016 GMC Dually. Have Trax3 add-in 37 gallon tank, because it fits under my Retrax sliding cover. Best thing I ever got. Worth every penny.

As stated by a previous posting, those park models are set in place much like a mobile home. Probably great for down there in AZ, but up in NE our camp is right next to the Missouri River and you need to be able to move your unit quickly when it comes out of the banks. Thanks for the suggestion though. I have all residential appliances (except the dishwasher) including the furniture. So it is an upgrade from the Toy Hauler the I had before.

To filthy-beast, that ledge behind the glass door is only 4 inches deep and the Wally box is 6x8" box with the connections in the back, so that makes it impossible to put on that ledge. Gonna have to pray that I have enough depth behind the TV.
