Another "What is this?"

It's not a roof vent as it is completely sealed. There are several other roof vents. This one is located over the kitchen area of the 39RKFB. I'm stumped.

I’m trying to remember my roof…. IIRC there are two up there and (provided nobody sealed it up) the bottom goes into the top in such a way that water cant get in.

A pic of a cleaner one might make it more evident:

Yea, that's what its supposed to look like. Someone used WAY too much sealant around it.

I don't believe so.....I purchased it brand new this last March. I just happened to be on the roof to install my SoftStart's and noticed this.

Satellite?

Maybe it covers a connection for a satellite dish?

You could contact the dealer and email the picture to them. Perhaps they forgot to install something.

My Cardinal had this and the roof satellite wires were under it. It had a label on it though.

Yes. It's an attic vent. I had one blow off. I found out it is pretty common so it's a good idea to check them after a trip.

If there's no gap between the cover and sealant somebody screwed up when it was built. It' a vent for the roof between the outer roof and inner ceiling. It vents moisture & heat from that space. The plastic gets very brittle and they break easily. I have removed both my plastic vents and installed steel vents. The steel vents need some fine mesh added when you install them to keep the bugs/rodents out.

I found the vent side facing the rear. When I first saw it, I viewed it from the front.

Thanks to all !!!
