Bent my Riverstone Already

Hello all,

Have only had my RV for month and dented the side from a large bolder while turning. Technically everything is OK - luckily but suggest I will need a panel replaced and repainting.

Has anyone have any good advise/ experiences with a repairer in Ohio

thanks

Sorry about your mishap. Not that this helps, but I did kind of the same thing on our first trip. Trying to make a U-turn in a gas station. Minor scrape along a fender.

I thought I was an experienced truck-trailer driver. Ha I guess the deuce and a half trailer combos turn rate is different

Cant help you in Ohio, I'm sure someone will chime in.

Good Luck!

thanks for the comments. We upgraded from a travel trailer and it surprised me in the difference with the turning. Very response with the turning circle forward and slow to respond when reversing

thanks again.

Not sure of a place in Ohio but how far would Shipsweanna In. be for you, Shipsweanna RV Service at the flea market has done some very good work on River Stone units and has a great relationship with the factory.

Ditto on dblr's response. Ships is the way to go. Ryan and crew are great.

Really not that far, I took ours there from Delaware when I needed body work done, I figured where better to go then a factory authorized shop. I was lucky to be able to leave mine there all winter as I mentioned I was not a fan of towing it when the roads where salt covered. They worked very well for us and I was very pleased with their service.

I agree. I should have said “only about 110 miles”.

Another vote for Shipshewana. I drive there from northwest suburbs of Chicago.

If I'm guessing correct you bumped the lower panel on a new(er) 5er. If so you will not need paint and your biggest expense will be shipping the panel as they build a wooden box to ship in.

If the long panel you can do it all in about 4 hours with a helper to hold it level. Nothing but B-Tape and screws. A friend had CW order the panel and I did it in less than 4 hours with his 22 year old detraction, I mean daughter helping.

Fiberglass repair

Not sure where you are in Ohio, but Arbogast RV in Troy does decent fiberglass repair. They replaces a section near our water heater that was warped. That work happened to be done while the Windjammer was still under warranty. While i can see where the work was done, no one else has been able to see it. And they match the color exactly. We were happy. Good luck.
