Insignia Oven Does not turn off

Has anyone here suffered this malady?

I had to turn the propane off at the tanks. I have to keep them off, so propane doesn't seep into the coach.

How about warranty? Are they easy to work with ?

Just an update to those who do have an Insignia......

Insignia won't do a thing for you. They only say to take it to a dealer or manufacturer. Real great !!

Then FR says they didn't make it and can't cover it. They also said it has to go to a dealer. We live in it so that is not an option. FR basically said, if you live in it, that's the risk you take. Nice.

Mobile RV tech ?

You do NOT have to use the dealer you purchased the trailer from


FR paid for a mobile tech to come out and fix/replace my microwave


I called them

contact a company ask them if they do warranty work .. ASK if will they bill you or FR


if they bill you make sure they give you all paperwork so you can get re-reimbursed


I had to pay ZERO out of pocket... and FR was very helpful in getting my issue resolved.

Yes, I'm doing all that right now. Austin is trying to see if the Insignia folks will cover it. Either way, I am going to have a mobile tech out here, but saddened by the response from both parties for now.

For warranty claim .... did you purchase new from a dealer within 12 months?



they more than likey are giving you problems because you live in the trailer
their warranty stipulates trailer is for casual use


BUT I would fight that federal warranty laws supersedes if the trailer has a manufacturing defect and is not fit for use.


If the repair is expensive ... get it fixed and then have a lawyer write you a letter of demand for compensation.

Yes, only had it since purchased new last March. Only second use of the oven.

Your talking about gas, with fire and/or explosion possibility, of course everyone say take it to someone who know how to diagnose and fix it. They don't want to get sued if something goes wrong.
