My CAT Scale Info
We finally got a chance to hit the scales on 5-24-18 while heading out for just under a week of dry camping. Me, DW, 37 gallons fuel, hitch, 20 lb LP tank, 3500 watt generator and some beverages in the truck (kayaks and everything else in the 38RE trailer).
Truck GVWR rating: 14000 lb
Truck GCWR rating: 31900 lb
Truck Front Axle rating: 5940 lb
Truck Rear Axle rating: 9650 lb
Truck CCC (Payload): 5283 lb (from sticker)
Trailer GVWR rating: 19060 lb
Trailer GAWR rating: 16000 lb
Actual Truck and Trailer GCWR: 27440 lb, 4460 lb under rating (14% margin)
Actual Truck and Pin Weight: 12780 lb, 1220 lb under rating (9% margin)
Actual Truck Drive Axle: 4240 lb
Actual Truck Steer Axle: 5240 lb
Actual Truck Weight: 9480 lb
Actual Pin Weight: 3300 lb, 18% of weighed trailer GVWR
Actual Truck Drive Axle with Trailer: 7540 lb, 2110 lb under rating (22% margin)
Actual Truck Steer Axle with Trailer: 5260 lb, 680 lb under rating (11% margin)
Actual Trailer Axle Weight: 14640 lb, 1360 lb under rating (9% margin)
Actual Cargo Weight: 4520 lb, 763 lb under rating (14% margin)
Granted, we were only loaded for a six day trip, and the only things I had in the front fiver basement was some firewood (I had loaded everything in the mid and rear basements), which brought down the pin weight as a percentage of weighed trailer weight. It also put more weight on the trailer axles, since they were within 9% of rating.
