Slide wall thickness?

Looking to hang something on the wall of the kitchen slide. Anybody know how thick (thin) the slide walls are?

You should be able to look at the window and tell about how thick the slide all is. Generally they're 1" thick.

Pretty sure Riverstone's are at least 3" if I remember when we bought ours. Just looked at my door frame. 3 maybe 3.5 even.

My bad. You were looking for slide wall. At least 1.5 and probably more.

3 1/4", same thickness as the main walls.

I just pulled one of the kitchen slides part way in, felt on both sides of it, and best I can tell it is less than 2" thick on the sides. I'm going to use 3/4" screws, and will probably glue and screw a thin wood strip to the wall, then mount my magnetic knife rack to it. Between the screws and the glue it should hold adequately.

I just remeasured the slides, at least on our 2017 the slide walls are exactly 3" thick all the way around, the same as the main walls, advertised wall thickness is 3 1/4". Regardless, it won't hurt to measure the outside, subtract the flanges and the inside width to get to the wall thickness. RS may have made changed the wall thickness between model years, I hope not but who knows.

I used double sided tape and the supplied 3/4" wood screws to mount this knife holder, it's been up for 1 1/2 - 2 years.

That's what I'm looking to do. I didn't think the double-sided tape would hold, but obviously it does. Thanks.

Just heard back from Riverstone this morning. Slide walls are 2 3/4" thick.

3M Command strips work great...many weight ratings. Also removable with no holes/marks on the wall.

The Riverstone Walls are 3.25 thick

The aluminum walls are 2.5 inches thick, however when you factor in the insulation and coverings you end up with a wall that is 3.25 thick for the Riverstone models, which is one of the MFGs selling points for full time RVIng.

If you could locate one of the aluminum studs, then anchoring into one of them would give you a lot more strength than just attaching something to the wall boards between the studs.

I have been using these with great success:

They are the perfect thickness (1/8") for the lauan wallboard.
