19.5 awning/rain gutter

The awning/rain gutter that is on the side of the camper toward the door is loose. Has anyone attempted to insert a screw to fasten is to the camper? Or have you found a glue that will hold it in place?

I fear it will continue to rip away from the camper body and one day the wind will take it.

The photos all loaded sideways. My apologies

I think I would first try cleaning the chalking out of that area and applying a sealant.chalk to hold it in place before going the screw route. JMHO
