Thanks for the link. Those supports won't hurt. I will add them as shown.
I have shook and wiggled the bikes on the rack and seen no noticeable movement with the rear 4x4 bumper.
It is only welded along the top of the frame I beam. Considering having a certified welder put beads on sides and bottom. Also want to hang a 5" pvc tube for sewer hose storage in the near future.
