Is a Slide Out Topper/Awning Viable on the NoBo w/Slide Out

Has anyone that has a slide out on their NoBo ever installed a Topper/Awning for the slide out? It appears on the NoBo 19.6 walk through youtube videos that the roof line and the top edge of the slide out may not have enough drop between the two to allow a natural slope for the water to drain off properly. Just looking for some guidance on adding one or not...
