Thanks for the reply. Hows the quality of your nobo? I've read some reviews that have been a bit rough on them.

My 16.8 was manufactured in Jan 2020. We bought off the dealer lot (Virginia) in April 2020 after deciding and viewing the the layout of the 16.2 we ordered at a January RV show would not work for us. So far (knocking on wood) I have only encountered minor annoyances. Bathroom door handle sticking, wood 2x2 supports under queen bed cracking at knots in wood, Fresh water tank leaking under the trailer onto the "insulating" cover, and spare tire support working loose.
Dealer called me in June to indicate that the replacement counter tops had arrived to replace damaged ones. I told them that I would have them review when I bring the unit in for winterization as I don't see the problem.
I took care of the other items myself. Much like maintaining a home. I replaced the cracked 2x2 under the bed and reinforced them with angle iron. No flexing or cracking now with both of us on the bed. Replaced the spare tire carrier with another model that is made with thicker steel and lifts the tire above the level of the bumper so it does not drag when I traverse dips and swales in the road and reseated the drain tube fitting using teflon tape to stop the fresh water leak.
Generally happy with the quality of the unit.

Packing the trailer today for a short trip this weekend with my son and grandson.

We bought a NoBo 16.8 last November but a family illness and COVID has delayed taking it on a real trip. We have been practicing to a degree in the driveway. Like backing up LOL. Having a blast learning all this stuff!

Problem: the Thule Omnister 6300 awning collapsed one (apparently) windless evening. The source of the collapse was that both tension arms tore out of the rail at the front, leaving a nasty bent opening on both ends of the front rail. I set up per wordless instructions and looked at YouTube too. I did exactly what was shown. However in one YouTube video they showed small arms that swing out from the front and clip into the tension arms. My tension arms had the little adjustable slots/ribs but no small arms. I wonder if this caused the problem?? thanks!!

So I purchased today a 2021 16.8. Paid asking price of $20,990 from a south GA dealer. I live in PA but happen to be camping in the area, stopped by and bought it ( having researched online quite a bit beforehand). I asked for and got stabilizer bars thrown in for free, including the labor for attaching it to my NoBo trailer frame. Dealer says it's a $695. value. So-called RV wholesalers from the mid-west sell the 16.8 for abound 20K, if they have them in stock. I suppose where in the country the dealer is located probably accounts for the price differential.

Included TT options drive the price. Initial thought is that you found a good deal.

Mine doesn’t have the solar panel and inverter so that would raise the price. This dealer only had the one 16.8. I’m adding an inverter/charger which will run about $1400 installed.

I installed solar, Inverter and Lithium batteries on my own. Placed batteries and inverter under the bed where the water heater and pump are located.

Larry:
Did you do the install inverter yourself? Which inverter did you purchase? I have a battle born 100ah battery in my present rv I'll use in my NoBo.

I installed the Go Power ICs-2000 inverter, charger, transfer switch, a GoPower PWMsolar controller w/bluetooth, and a 200W solar panel from Windy Nation. I have two 130AH Lithium batteries. Did the work myself. Had to extend and run the 4 conductor control wires for the Inverter remote control, PWM controller panel and the battery monitor from under the front bed area to the bathroom wall where they are mounted. All heavy battery wiring is 12" to 18" long with high current devices under the bed in the water heater area. Moved the water pump as far as existing water lines would allow to a open area next to the water heater to gain room for the ICs-2000 and two batteries, and high current buss bars and circuit breakers.

Bought a 2021, 16.8 and had it hooked up to a AC. Has anyone had any problem with the inverter. All the plugs quit working and the tripper plug wouldn’t reset. I had to take it back to the dealer so they could reset the inverter.
I was told the inverter is only rated for 1000 amps and when I plugged in my hair dryer I tripped it.
I am taking it to someone else to have the inverter upgraded. Any suggestions?

isn't there a switch between inverter and shore power?

1000 watts, not amps. Hairdryers are typically 1500 watts or more. Inverter will not handle a hairdryer...

Are you talking about the power button on the front of the converter? Yes, and it was off. I was on AC. The dealer still said it was my fault for shorting out the inverter.
