NoBo 10.5&6 exterior height

Being able to garage a trailer is a necessity for us. I started looking at the 10.5 but have found a 10.6 closer to us.

The specs for the 10.5 say that the exterior height is 6'11 which should work for our garage.

The specs for the 10.6 say 7'5 which I don't think will work.

Does anyone know what accounts for the difference? Has anyone had issues getting either model into a standard garage?

Thanks

welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I do have a question have you measured your garage door opening?

It's exactly 6'11 at the smallest of the door opening.

Doesn't seem based on your measurements that either would work. RVs by nature were not designed to be garaged it nice if you can do it. Rigs fair well outside with a little extra preventive maintenance.

I can help here. First off be very careful the Forest River website is wrong. I called and confirmed this with the on the 2020 models.
The 2020 model 10.5 is the exact same height as the 10.6
2018-2019 models are shorter for sure and if you let the air until almost flat out of the tires it will fit in the garage. That is what made me look for a 2019 model before they were sold out.
I saw the 2020 10.5 and the 2020 10.6 side by side and questioned the website as they said the 10.5 was supposed to be shorter. Easiest way to tell is look at the side kitchen light position. If it is level with the top of the outside pantry door then it’s a 10.5. If sits above that and in the middle between the door and the roof it’s the new height 10.5 2020 model.

If you want the shorter one you need to look for a 2019 model or older. I wanted to store in my garage as well and fits perfect and plenty of room to walk around. I ended up having to drive to Colorado to get one of the last 2019 models near me.
