NoBo 19.3 awning

Just got trailer delivered from the factory. On first trip, opened awning and noticed the full length LED strip is connected on the awning material against the coach, and. Or the awning wheel like advertised. Anyone else experience this? I see where it slides in, not sure how the wiring is ran....

Thanks

2021 nobo 19.3

Can you restate the question or problem you are having? Pictures might help too.

The led strip for the awning should be located on the large wheel that the awning wraps around. Instead the led strip is affixed to the side of the coach.

Picture 1 is the wheel where the led strip should be.

Picture 2 is where it came from the factory floor.

Very odd. In all of Forest Rivers’ overviews for this coach, they clearly highlight this position of this light as a “new and innovative feature”

Ok that makes sense now. Mine is embedded in a groove in the awning tube and the awning has to be fully extended to be visible. I have seen others this way as well. Your's looks to be either a newer version since I have not seen any 2021's yet and mine is a 2020. Maybe they were having lots of issue with the one's in the tube. Or they needed to find a way to save money. Don't put much stock in the literature...there are numerous changes and differences from what is advertised. All the literature said (or maybe still says) 2-5/16 ball, when in reality they all have a 2" ball coupler.

Thanks.

Do you think it’s worth pursuing having it retrofitted to the awning tube? Just watched a video of another 2021 and it had lights on the side retractable arms.

BTW. I called the factory and they confirmed with mine 2 5/16 ball is what it uses....

I can see advantages both ways. Having it closer to the camper, gives you the option to not have the awning fully extended to have the light on and it would give you better light (no shadows) if you have a table or grill closer to the camper. It really comes down to a preference. I bet they won't just change it for you for nothing though, but won't hurt to try if you really want it on the tube.

I see now you have the dual axle, which is a higher load rating and would take a 2-5/16. I was thinking of the 19.8 that stated a 2-5/16" when it was really just a 2".

We just bought a 2021 and noticed the same thing. I liked the ideal of having it in the tube, but like it better along the wall rather then in the awning arms

My 2021 19.6 came with a 2-5/16 ball. Had to have my 2" ball swapped out before I could pull away.

On our new 2021 the awning lights are along the camper also. From the literature and research we were expecting it to be at the end of the awning. We do like this set up better since we won’t have to extend the awning fully to have the lights on.

We had a 2015 24RK Trail Runner before we bought a 2021 Silverback 33ik and it had the lights in the tube. When I sold the 24rk this year only half of the lights in the tube worked. They started going out the first time we used it. Like them on the side of the fifth wheel much better.
